Christian Bason will defend his thesis "Leading public design" on May 9th 2017.

CEO of the Danish Design Centre Christian Bason defends his Ph.D. thesis "Leading public design: How managers engage with design to transform public governance".  

The Doctoral School of Organisation and Management Studies will host a reception, which will take place immediately after the defence at the reception area outside the defence room at Råvarebygningen.

About the thesis:
Leading public design: How managers engage with design to transform public governance

Read the thesis

 The thesis explores how collaborative design approaches are applied in public sector organizations. Drawing on qualitative case studies from five countries, the thesis analyses the leadership behaviors involved in realizing design projects, and characterizes the types of solutions and value flowing from design work. Finally, the thesis discusses the implications of design approaches for emerging principles of public governance.
