Nordic Design Competition – National finalists
16. oktober 2018
The Nordic juries have now selected the national finalists, who will go on to the final round of assessment – where one winning chair from each of the Nordic countries will be chosen to participate at COP24 in Katowice, Poland in December.

We are happy to announce the finalists of the "Nordic Design Competition - Sustainable Chairs" chosen by the national juries. These chairs will move on to the final, where a total of 10 chairs will be assessed by the national jury. Here, one chair from each of the Nordic countries will be chosen as the national winner. These five chairs will then move on to the COP24 climate conference in Katowice, Poland.

Whether or not you move on from the final, your chair will be part of the exhibition "Nordic Sustainable Chairs" presented at COP24. However, not in its physical form, but depicted on posters at the “Nordic Pavilion” with the title "Nordic Design Competition - Finalists".

The national winner
If your chair is selected as one of the national winning chairs, your chair will be sent to COP24 in Katowice, Poland, by the Nordic Council of Ministers, where they will be part of an exhibition on sustainability at the 'Nordic Pavilion'. Here the chairs will get a big exposure, as more than 30,000 people are expected to participate during the COP. In addition, the chair will be used for panel discussions on the stage.

The Nordic winner
The winning chair will be exhibited for a year at the Danish showroom 'Design Werck' in Copenhagen. In addition, the chair and the designers/manufacturers will be used in a broad international communication strategy for sustainability, managed by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
