Stephanie Joy Hansen
Stephanie Joy Hansen is an experienced project manager and part of the Design Resource platform at the Danish Design Centre. Stephanie is passionate about running projects and creating collaboration between actors around a project. Stephanie is, among other things, project manager of the Danish Design Award, which the Danish Design Centre (together with Design denmark) runs each year to celebrate the difference that design can make for companies and society.
Stephanie holds a master’s in Political Science and is responsible for SISCODE, a three-year EU project with 17 partners in ten different countries. The project aims to stimulate the use of co-creation within policy through bottom-up design methods. Stephanie is a strong analyst and communicator, using those skills as project manager of Exploring Design Impact, which - through quantitative and qualitative methods - examines Danish companies' use of design and focuses on the value of design.
Previously, Stephanie has been a consultant at the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI). At DI Stephanie has been in charge of the large, annual survey of the business climate in the Danish municipalities and has had a lot of contact and dialogue with member companies, municipalities and the press with the aim of improving the conditions of doing business.
Stephanie has been an intern at Jyllands-Posten and the Danish Embassy in London (Invest in Denmark). She has also studied at Columbia University and taken the supplementary education in journalistic communication from the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
